![]() ![]() I mean, that’s it, of course, we’re tweaking and updating the above and more due to your feedback – but honestly it’s also something that proper testing would have revealed as well. Or the Calamities, our big unique battles against the worst of the witch’s undead hordes, the feature we were so proud of, and one that turned out to be a pain in the ass rather than an exciting spectacle? Because while they’re here to stay, we’re definitely changing some stuff around them. You might think that maybe it’s the way the progression works in the game, because yeah, we will be changing that. We said it many times before that Early Access only makes sense if the players influence the development, and this is exactly what is happening.Īre you curious what is it that you’ve influenced? One is ours, the designs we cook up and the worlds we want to bring to life. This vision is an amalgam of two different thoughts. The things we will be working on until we reach 1.0. At the same time, though, it’s not a game that will “ wow” you with its graphics. Here it is, our (almost) spoiler-free, condensed vision for Witchfire. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad-looking game. Since then, we’ve seen numerous games that pushed the graphical boundaries of PC games. Graphics-wise, I’m not particularly impressed with Witchfire. Additionally, we did not experience any mouse acceleration or smoothing issues. The game also has an FOV slider, and it supports AMD FSR 2.0 and Intel XeSS. PC gamers can adjust the quality of Shadows, Textures, Foliage, Effects and more. It’s also worth noting that Witchfire comes with a lot of graphics settings to tweak. ![]() ![]() So yeah, for high-end GPUs like the RTX 4090, DLSS 3 Frame Generation is a free performance boost. We also did not experience any visual or graphical artifacts. This was mainly due to the fact that the game was already running with over 144fps. Now the good news here is that the extra mouse latency that DLSS 3 Frame Generation introduces is very small. And when we enabled DLSS 3 Frame Generation, we were able to get a minor 13% performance increase. With DLSS 3 Quality, we were able to get a minimum of 154fps. At Native 4K/Ultra Settings, our NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 was able to push a minimum of 91fps. Witchfire appears to be well-optimized, even in its current Early Access state. ![]()
